Why bother?
I had hoped to visit a friend yet never could make it.We used to be very close friends back to high school time. Thing's changed since I don't know when... The girl seems never answer her cell and not even calls us back after I leave tons of voice messages.
She explains,after long disappearing from time to time, she feels somebody's tracing her and spying on her because she has a live-in boyfriend whose race is different than hers. She fears if her parents find out she lives with him, her all family would feel humiliated. Plus, she does not think she would marry that guy! So, she acts like she's living underground, or say, that guy is a underground lover. I have always been curious if a relationship is not treated promisingly or given a hope for future, why do they bother to even LIVE together??? I always wonder how that guy would feel when his live-in girlfriend forces him hidden when her parent in town? What is a relationship all about? Is it just a temp company when one feels lonely ?

agree with you why get into something when you know there is no hope for it in the future...but at other times..when you are in love or are lonely and need company..your heart rules over the mind and all the rationality and reasoning is lost...
I know it might be one of the excuses to be so selfish that "my heart rules over my kindness when I have hard time,blah blha blha..." What I do not know and always doubt is if the persons like that do have a heart? or is that "heart" just a living container of full of selfishness? It bothers me badly.
world is changing :-) and i was stunned by the way in which she handles her relation.. may be everything is for good..
People love making excuses for every irrational acts of theirs and we all generally get taken in by them bcos everyone pities a sad and lonely soul.
Raj: thx for visiting. I would not consider what this girl does an "irrational act" but a selfishness and humiliation to her underground lover. anyway, if he lives with it, nothing can be done by others.
I think relationships are always two sided. Maybe the guy is also not serious. Either of them should take a stand.They are living with it coz none has found out..after her parents find out, thats when the acid-test will start!
